Sundial Postcard
This popular portable sundial design was called a diptych. It consisted of two small flat faces, joined by a hinge. Diptychs usually folded into little flat boxes suitable for a pocket. The gnomon is a string between the two faces. When the string is tight, the two faces form both a vertical and horizontal sundial. Fuller description on the Cards page.

Shepherds Ring Sundial
This is a fine reproduction - not of the quality of the one we feature elsewhere on the Sundials page. It works fine, looks good and is a lovely gift. You will get either the silver or gold coloured version and it comes with a thong to wear round your neck. Simply move the ring to the right month, hold the thong so that the sun shines through the little hole - and read off the time on the inside! Sheep not supplied.
